Hi Jan I’m in Maghull. I saw in the BBC app that they had thunderstorm icons from 9-2ish for Saturday on Friday. But that had been revised and they disappeared before the day came. I think the local council must have gone by that and called it Friday morning to give people notice - lots of others sites not forecasting it though. There’s been local outrage about it lol. Are you in my group by any chance? (it’s fairly new - The Maghulltimate Community. You’re welcome to join if not. I’m Lynne, the admin on it.

Just had a very heavy downpour with frequent thunder and lightning. Now moving off to the North.

Just last night’s covering of graupel here. Looks like showers all slid south of us. Still at least we have a layer of something white on the ground for a change.

That’s crazy Russ! I thought we were pretty snow starved here but at least we had that epic snowfall. Don’t think we’ve had anything meaningful since then, so I’m ready for at least a covering.

We’re just a few miles inland in L31 and this was Dec 2010 here.

Just looking at the snow pics in the SE thread. Some epic falls in places. I’m gutted we got nothing snow wise from this cold spell in L31. At least it’s felt seasonal with some frost and cold.
