  2. Damn, Well thats cooler air isn't it? thats a cooler air mass? because the lower pressure is in the center and according to the met office guide to understanding charts (as rubbish as it is) low pressure with high pressure surronding is colder weather. SS
  3. Right let me see if i got this right, I think i recognise the cold and warm fronts also pressure now, Go to here http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=nwdc;sess= click on number 42 and that shows a cold front just entering Ireland, Please can someone tell me if im right Cheers SS

  11. I would just like so say thankyou very much to all you who replied, You have made it easier for me to understand frost in areas where i did not understand before. I know who to ask in the future SS Edit: TM is hoar frost the type of frost you see on the roof of a car? The really sparkly one?
  12. A hoar frost is the frost that occurs on the more say funny objects like trees i think. Is this the frost where the tempeature has to be below zero for though?
  13. Ground Frosts can occur at temperatures even a little higher than that depending on the temperature of the ground itself and whether it is a clear night. Generaly though it is from around 2c and below. Ground frosts are rare when it's cloudy SS
  14. cheers for the reply's guys, much appreiciated cheers for the links. Icer i don't think its that because frost forms at 0c and you can see it when you breathe at around 5c buy cheers for the reply SS

  17. B) Thanks for the warm welcome and no problemo, My uncle lives in caernarfon not to far from snowdon itself so im a pretty big fan of that area, Some lovley sights. Nice pictures by the way, Hoping to get some of those myself come the winter. Cheers SS
  18. Be sure to wrap up warm though. Temperatures don't half plummet when that sun goes down B) For the falls to be frozen it has to be below 0c though i think. So i'd look on their site to see or even look on the bbc website, they have a live snowdon camera right at the summit. Thanks SS
  19. Great pics louby. I was in Wales today myself. I saw all that snow on the snowdonian peaks ect, Did you actually go up to the snow level, also can you give a rough idea of the temperature please. It was around 8c on the ground according to car. B) Thanks SS
