Thanks for the footage. I've just watched the 1963 one and was amazed at the way that bloke caught his fish!! I wonder if this year will be similar to that winter?

Feeling quite cool here with a fairly strong wind off the sea. We have had a bit of hazy sunshine, but nothing wall to wall. Temperature is hovering around 17 at the moment.

Low cloud has affected here since around 4ish, felt quite cool at times especially in the wind. Went down to Skegness this evening where there was low cloud over the wolds and even a bit of drizzle! Had to put head lights on at 9 on the way home, pretty dark!!!

We have had steady rain here now for the passed few hours, which comes as a relief as everywhere is very drt, temperature got up to 18 degrees briefly this afternoon before the rain started, currently around 14.

What srikes me about this year so far in the amount of easterly winds we seem to be getting. If we were in January I would be under 2 foot of snow now!!! It has been cold for ages now (not including the back holiday weekend or last week end when it wasn't to bad. I know Brian Glaze on TWO mentioned a severe winter could happen soon due to the chance of a prelonged easterly becoming greater. Until then I m hoping for a bit of rain. Its been months now since we have had more than a few hours of rain, everywhere is looking very brown and yellow.

Glorious day here again, clear blue skies. Temperature around 18 degrees, feels much warmer than yesterday as the cool east wind has reduced.

Still not made 20 degrees here either. Reading some of the comments I would have to agree with some that say it has been a cool spring so far. We have had lots of cloud and easterly winds which are horrible at this time of year. I suppose places in more wester areas might disagree or infact places in Scotland where temperatures have been much warmer at times.

An interesting topic. I know it is only May but here everything is starting to look like the end of a hot dry spell. The grass is looking very yellow in places already around town which is quite unusual to say its only 2 weeks since April finished. I really hope we get some rain soon before the newly planted trees start dying.

Cool start to the day here with temperatures around 9 degrees. Clear blue skies for now accompanied by a gusty cool wind.

Another warm and sunny day here, if a little hazy. Temperatures have peaked at arpund 16 degrees. Still no sign of rain.

Lovely day here with near enough wall to wall sunshine. Got up to around 16 degrees which felt rather warm in the sun. Getting desperate for rain here now, must have been nearly 4 weeks since we had anything decent, many newly planted trees are dying.

Quite cool here since mid afternoon, quite a strong wing from the east limited temperatures to around 14 degrees. Woke up the clear blue skies, but thick cloud arrived by early evening. Should get first rain here since first week of April tomorrow.

These are fantastic photos, I love seeing how the same place can look so different!! I have a few similar shots myself but they are not as affective as these, thanks for sharing them!

Another lovely day here with pleasant sunny spells and with a temperature around 18 degrees, the sun is getting quite strong now. There are quite a few clounds building up now so might get first bit of rain since the first week in April. So much for April showers.

Wow, that was amazing. Imagine if it were to happen now, I think even more chaos would occur than did during 1950. Some how though I can't see it happeneing this year, perhaps next year?

Probably the warmest day of the year here today, I am not 100% sure as I am at work and havn't checked my weather station. It feels nearly summer like with really warm sunshine and hazy blue skies.

Beautiful day here, clear blue skies with a brisk wind. Temperature currently 27 which isn't bad considering my location.
