We're a bit out of the threads region, but we are under the same band of PPN as M Fish is under, and I can report large 50p flakes...
Yes, we have had that as well. But is it settling?
-
lol
BBC got this wrong
Nope, you are on the wind up, plainly and clearly! Don't get me wrong, I'd be delighted for ya if you did have another covering, but not with things so marginal I'm afraid.
-
Well according to M Fish and CWT2012, parts of London are already covered again, with many inches to come this evening.
Meanwhile, back on earth...
-
Must be a local streamer been snowing heavy for an hour and a half
Mate stop it now you're on the wind up! I've got relatives in Harrow Weald and they say nothing settling. Fair play for the effort and all that but it ain't settling!
-
-
Top up of about 1cm
Really?? I'm down the road from you in Watford at the moment and nothing settled.
-
Right, I'm probably going to regret asking this question - is anyone ACTUALLY getting snow in the London Boroughs? Thank you muchly.
Yep, moderate to heavy snow here for the last 30mins. Not settling though.
-
Flakes the size of fruit bowls here. Marvellous.
-
Oslo, Kiev, Moscow, Siberia?
you mean there aren't going to be blizzards this afternoon? Drat.
-
3-4" in lucky areas from that band depending how slow moving it is
when you say inches, do you really mean centimetres??
-
It's my personal view
I like it, and hope you're right!
-
Those extremely heavy showers in the channel stretching from Isle of Wight to Brighton are edging northwards, things could get very interesting if they hit land
What do you reakon, could be a foot of snow in some places?
-
More snow
After the slightly milder period coming up, cold will return early Feb
Has to be said though, there's no sign of that at the moment...
-
Easing off now. Nothing to shout about really but nice considering I wasn't expecting it. Not expecting a great deal on Friday; couple of hours of transitory snow perhaps. The worst kind!
-
Ye gods! chucking it down!
-
Ppl get very sulky on here I've noticed, if they miss out on any snow!
You should try the model thread...
-
I do declare it's snowing here. 'pon my soul this was not forecast!
-
Any indication in west London or "to the West of London" to use his annoying ambiguous phrase?
I feel we are a little too far north, and I mean literally a couple of miles too far north. Somewhat irksome, but we did get it with both barrels Friday and Sunday.
-
Snowing. Now I can get on with my life.
-
That awkward moment when someone walks past your window and spots you gawping in the direction of the sky. I pretended to be inspecting my curtains. Still nada here.
-
nowt in Dollis Hill, north-west London, I fear I may be a few miles too far north.
-
Anything in uckfield???
Yes.
-
Seems to have slowed down...taking an awfully long time to hit London now.
Yeah I'm not sure London will get anything from this; maybe southern and south-western suburbs, but would imagine anywhere north of the Thames may get a few flakes at most.
-
To those of us in north London:
Gfs and nmm show the precip s and se of croyden moving due north and sitting over us before being dragged west.
If nae is correct that precip will never make it across the Thames and will get dragged west anytime now.
So keep an eye on it, if it shows signs of less progress north, then prob game over for us but if it continues to move up then nmm/gfs might yet prove to be correct.
That sounds horribly knife-edge!

So what is your prediction for London? I'm meant to be going into work later, should I go?
