  1. Shows how desperate things have become in the MOD thread when theyre arguing over the possibilty of a Thames streamer lol. At this rate anyone that finds a snowflake within the next 5 days or so could probably sell it on Ebay for a fortune.

    No... But maybe this... http://news.sky.com/story/1053694/green-space-slime-baffles-nature-experts

Snow can pop up from anywhere.. look at last week i think it was.. when we had a few hours of snow.. yeah wet rubbish.. but pretty to watch... As long as its cold.. Their is always hope.

  2. If anyone wants a happy fix, another one of those "that ECM's" are running out, with an FI freeze!

Good to look at but that's all at the moment.

Think we should do us all favour... have a English ground hog day..Cant bare to think how if 20 years ago.. Before my time as would of been 3 then but..all the information available we have now.. was then... Charts would be so different in just 12 hours out and so on? Would be like a battlefield even talking about? haha

W COUNTRY Snow likely to be a feature for E Cotswolds tonight but now much less likely further SW frm there. Problems elsewhere in England..

    sorry.gif

    Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather

Elsewhere, snow has potential to cause problems in Midlands, down M40 corridor to London; Home Counties & Kent...all being monitored closely

  4. Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather

W COUNTRY To reiterate: areas MOST likely to see 2-4+cm snow are E/SE Cotswolds; parts of N Wilts to N Salisbury Plain. Lower risk elsewhere

    Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather

W COUNTRY However, to further reiterate: other areas, e.g. Bristol, Bath, may also see snow FALL but actual SETTLING may prove very patchy.

"@Swinbart: @fergieweather any snow for Swindon" your area certainly has some potential, yes. Needs watching. Tricky call re amounts there.

    Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather

"@fifi3chui: @fergieweather Cool. Ian is Wiltshire getting snow please? At" Northern areas look most at threat but 30% chance more widely

Hope it aint a m4 divide...

Going from that... all is not lost in the shire...

  6. I've done an extensive search for a straw to clutch and I think I've found a beauty.....The massive snow storm over in the states today happened to fall on the 35th anniversary of the last big snow storm to hit Boston. Back in 1978, nine days after the storm hit Boston, we in the South West were hit by blizzards and massive drifts.

I'm clutching on tightly to my straw of improbable coincidences and I'm not letting go. Massive dumping coming up for all us South Westerners, ETA 18th/19th February.

Battle Cry,, We Declare war... Warm Air... Now lets all set forth on dismantling the m4....

W COUNTRY Continuing uncertainty on potential for snow problems later tomorrow, e.g. M4 corridor, so pls keep abreast of forecast updates...

    Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather

W COUNTRY Snow amounts in areas such as S Glos, Bristol, B&NES currently looking less troublesome but from nil to 2-4cm poss later Sun. TBC

    Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather

W COUNTRY In those areas, snow most likely above 200m; e.g. uplands of B&NES perhaps, circa 2-4cm broadly but updates will follow late eve.
