-
slight dusting here in cambuslang i am not expecting this to be a classic winter event
-
still not cold enough though to make any impact seems to be very wet flakes
-
its snowing in cambuslang big fat fluffy flakes
-
Everyone here seems to be writing off winter and RJS and GP.
are you writing winter off?
-
I don't like to write winter off at this stage. However there is a pattern..Atlantic storms and mild uppers. This dominated the weather since the end of November till now. Looking ahead the pattern is similar. So at the moment it is more of the same not much snow or real cold prospects. Plus when it does snow higher up it is too windy to get on the ski slopes. This weather is really no use to anyone. It might just be one of those crappy winters that we have to grin and bear.
heavy snow late march perhaps?

had to put the light on in the room its getting really dark also the rain is really coming down now looks like we are going to see a bit of everything today

yeah think so or squal line as i think its known

wind becoming gusty again with rain hopefully not a second front

Glad to hear it, glasgow-guy - you got off lighter than us! Been up to look and it seems when the window-frame was wrenched out of its hinge, it lifted part of the roof above and on both sides and moved some way down the slope, meaning a whacking great gap above the buckled frame for rain to pour through; plus plasterwork inside the room cracked both sides across a good ten foot. From the garden, the roof is hummocked-up all round the ex-window.
Phoned our handyman to get our name in the queue for tomorrow
this certainly will be remembered as a windy winter glad your safe though

all is calm now no structural damage
-
eased off a bit now lets hope its peaked

Hang on in there, glasgow-guy... [where's the emoticon for Big Reassuring Hug?)
That's the Forth road bridge closed completely now. And that wind graph's off the top of the chart.
This is way worse than Bawbag was here. Lying in bed this morning took me back twenty years to the last time I travelled by sleeper-train, as I lay there with the bed gently rocking and shaking. Luckily everything's still tied down or weighted down...
thanks i could crawl into a corner and cry right now iam shaking that bad
-
i think this storm is going to top bawbag in terms of distruption and damage
-
iam going to collapse with fear iam shacking so much dammit i hate the wind
-
everything is shaking including me
-
this is a terrible storm and i agree much worse than bawbag my home is shaking car alarms going off and bins being tipped over

Good Morning Scotland. i have awoken early to get out and get the last of the Xmas shopping in before Tuesdays storm hits i have no idea as yet as to how bad Glasgow and the central belt will be impacted? but will be keeping up on a relevant sources of information. today's weather story is going to be our southern neighbors taking a bit of a battering before all eyes turn to the north
i think i am going to look out the number for my House Insurance Claim Line
