    Wind starting to get up a bit now. Started suddenly, came from nowhere. Had been realy calm. Pressure on weather station 954 and still dropping. Oh well, so this is the start of it. Haud oan tae yir heids.

    Just been looking at the rain radar for uk. That is some amount of rain steaming into South West England and Wales, and at some speed. Bit of drizzle and light breeze here at present. This could be long night !

    My partner has just phoned after driving from Glasgow to Dundee and said the Local Constabulary are out in force. As well as the wind speeds, better watch your own speed !

    Hi all, haven't posted for a while. Just been having a read through the recent posts, some excellent information and opinions on what the next two days will bring. As you would expect, a fair bit of snow on some of the higher routes. Here are some of Traffic Scotlands recent A9 Traffric Cam images.

    Very light snow in Cambuslang for the last 45 minutes. It is lying but not making much of an impression. Will have to wait and see how it develops.

    Snowing heavier for the last 15 minutes in Cambuslang. Everything is white now but only about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in depth. From Trafffic Scotland A83 Rest and be Thankfull closed. Also RainToday back up. Col.

    Hi all. Very light icy snow falling in Cambuslang for the last 10 minutes.

    Off the subject post. Geminid meteor shower is happening tonight (just now). Just seen 2 whilst standing at the back door and thats with the moon out. Geminids are easy to see as they are bright white and not fast moving. The ones I seen were travelling north, Catch a glimse if you can, its not too cold.

    Hi all, great weather site. Been lurking around here for about one week and thought it time I contribute myself. So this is my first post. Great snow, about 5 to 6 cm here in the outskirts of Glasgow. Very light snow just now, although the radar looks like it will be over soon for now. Lets hope the weather continues with the wintry theme - the way it should be at this time of year - cold, frosty and snowy. I look forward to spending more time here. Col.
