Have had showers on and off today but lovely big flakes at the minute and the place turned white very quickly. 1.4 degrees and dropping.

Horrible day out there, roll on some decent weather. Would love to see some lovely crisp frosty mornings instead of that oul muck we've been getting threw at us all winter.

Happened to look out and we have a fair covering outside which I honestly wasn't expecting at all as we're well to the east. My fence blew down one day early last week with the winds so made an attempt to hurricane proof it at the weekend so I'll likely come home from work tomorrow night and see it down again.

Snowing quite heavy in Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim. Cars and street white now, finally nice to see.

Well I think the excitement is over but the snow is still lying! It's going to be fun trying to get anywhere in the next few days!!
Indeed, don't think I'll get out of the street. Went out this morning and started digging but it's pointless as the whole street needs cleared. Will walk to main road and get a lift to work tomorrow.

Gutted Ronan, if there was one person I'd love to see get snow it would be you, always looking forward to the snow events etc.. Hope you get something during the night.

Really is something else, I think it's as much snow as I've seen and there seems to be no letting up.

Some load of snow since last night, just over 7" lying on our patio with maybe twice that or more where it's drifting. Managed to make a wee igloo with the son out in the garden earlier and stick our cat in it, lol. So if you're cat has fancied a night in an igloo I'm sure I can do a special rate for netweather pets.

Same here over on the other side of town MS in Glengormley, crazy weather out there. Just glad I managed to get home from work this afternoon although got stuck in the street and it was shovel time.

Woke up this morning to a covering of maybe no more than an inch of snow. The place was already white from last night as there was heavy hail or graupel just before bedtime.

Heavy snow here this morning, looked out when I got up just before 9 and it must have just been starting. Place is getting quite white now with large flakes falling.

Just had a look out the door there as I was locking up for bed and the cars and garden have a light covering of the white stuff, wind howling as well. Not a night to be out anywhere.

Here's a snowy pic of a different type. As Ginger had said a few posts back it had been pretty much snowing all morning although they melted within seconds as they weren't lying. Had to be quick but I liked this one of a couple of flakes on the end of a leaf before they disappeared.

Couple of inches fell here overnight, not the same when you have to go to work though and can't get out in it. Was clearing the cars earlier and it's a beautiful morning, clear skies and crescent moon, would be nice out for a walk with the camera.

Glad you're getting some. We haven't had much in the way of fresh snow today by the looks of things although the streets are still a nightmare to get through with the snow still lying very thick. Work in Antrim and it's a completely different world, hardly a pick of snow to be seen. -
Very light snow been falling for a while here still even though the there's nothing really showing on radar. Had cleared car windows for the morning a couple of hours ago and they're covered again. East Antrim hills have done very well from this event, took a tape measure to a chair on the patio earlier and there's about 7" of snow on it.
Seen on Countryfile more due tomorrow.

Went out in the car with the son, was going to go up mountain for photos but hadn't a hope of getting there so came back and managed to get the car stuck in the street. Eventually got back into driveway so it was Snowman time.
Hasn't ceased all morning, hoping it makes it way to everyone else that has been waiting for it.

Really nice out there at the minute, getting quite a bit of graupel coming down. Will make an effort to get out for some pics after breakfast here.

Have had a bit of light snow on & off for an hour or two now, it's covered the likes of the windscreen and bonnet of the cars etc.. again, although still a fair bit from yesterday too.

Still plenty of snow lying with temp sitting at 1.4° although there's been a definite thaw overnight, even a bit of drizzle when I looked out the window earlier. Maybe take the wee guy up the hills behind us today, it's usually quite nice up there.

The Ponderosa Bar on top of the Glenshane!! Great spot! Lol! Really disappointed with the snow in Derry! Crap is all I can say! Not happy at all!
Passed it quite a bit when travelling up through Dungiven, I often wondered who went to it as it strikes me as being in the middle of nowhere. Never ventured into it though.

Braved the elements and took the tape measure out to the patio and there's just over a couple of inches lying at the minute. Looking at the radar there's a fair old amount to come yet too.

Just home from work, not much really lying in Antrim when I left but place is white in Glengormley and getting quite heavy, also roads are getting a bit tricky. Temp currently 0.5°

Haha,I think we'd all hire a truck and fill her up with snow and drop it off at your door. Hope you get what you're hoping for Ronan, have a good day.
Temps dropping here now,has went from 6.6 to 4.2 in the last 90 mins or so.
