Re NorthantsSnow : 'Here's how I'm expecting the situation to evolve over the next few hours. Remaining dry across Northamptonshire for the next few hours with winds beginning to pick up from the NE. As we head into Wednesday, shortly after midnight some heavy snow will push up from the south engulfing the south and west of the county in particular. I would expect 2-3 inches in places as we go through the night particularly across Northampton, Towcester, Brackley and Daventry. Further north and east, the likes of Kettering and Corby will likely be too far north and east to benefit from this band and as such will remain dry. Later in the morning, another front will feed in and this could bring another inch of snow to many parts of the county including spots further north and east which will have avoided much of tonight's snowfall.' Damm good call mate... pretty much spot on. Didn't see anything from the southerly ppn here in Kettering as it swung west of us last minute. Had the later morning flurries too. Temps plummeting -4.9°C and wind chill -11°C.

Just wish Mr. Fish could throw some money at the bandwidth allocations and fix the damm site........

Bout right really, not a sign of ppn here in Kettering/East Midlands/East Anglia/North London/South Central Midlands etc..

Most predictions had a hole over Northants (and eastwards) and looks like theyre right (I hate them!) South Northants has had a dusting but for the rest of the county its just icy roads. Im just waiting for a good view of that waning gibbous moon

Looked promising for a good while earlier but that LP scuppered most of our snow prospects and it pivoted too early to the SW... bugger

Getting heavier in Kettering, has been light snow from 6pm but in the last 10 mins flakes are much bigger.
