How's the wind and rain up where you are at the moment Sub Zero?

Agreed , we won't get anything like up the north. Of the country but I'm surprised to hear some quite heavy gusts. I wasn't expecting anything at all tonight.

Yeah... starting to pick up here also. .... ive just noticed it gusty outside the last ten minutes. You think we could reach a 50 mph gust down south Adam?

Damn... this SE Thread is sooo boring. There's nothing weather related going on here.... I can't wait for a deep low depression to come along.. so much more exciting to me than this quiet cold spell

Well... I was out this morning, on my way to the dance studio and nearly slipped on a frozen puddle :O ... I actually wasn't expecting that! I don't mind the cold weather if snow is on the cards... Otherwise it can bugger off!

Does anyone think it will be cold enough for us to get falling snow? And where is everyone by the way? I thought there were quite a few coldies living here in the S/E? YES! That IS good news! I don't know how cold it is in Chatham. I haven't checked

I'm keeping half an eye on the radar...watching these showers traveling toward the south east

It would be nice to see some snow but I too am more interested in the high winds tomorrow

I don't really get what all the excitement is for us lot in the south east this weekend... yeah ok it will be nice to see some falling snow but I won't get excited about it... A good Atlantic storm like Barney the other night though? Oh yeah I loved it ... But don't get me wrong, if the snow really starts to fall, or even better it turns into a blizzard here in the south at some point this winter I will be going crazy...lol. It will be great to get a good depth of lying snow this winter... enough so that the kids get a day off school. These days are the ones that count.

In the UK every winter it's prety likely that we'll see some flurries, a few flakes, some lying snow for a few hours before it melts ... boring! I am really hoping we will see snow that will lay and stay for at least a couple of days so we can enjoy building snow men and using a sleigh this year Does this possible snow in November guarantee we'll get a nice covering in the south east to enjoy for a few days this coming winter? No.. because weather here is so unpredictable.

More PPN?! ... I have to say, I'm really not that excited about a few flakes of snow falling from the sky although it would be nice to see. A dusting? :/ ... If it only lasted an hour or two on the ground before melting what's exciting about that? I guess I'm always gonna be an extreme weather chick. I will look forward to the day when I see at least a good 5 inches of snow on the ground again .... nice fat flakes falling from the sky or better yet, BLIZZARDS!! ... Until then it will be just ... nice/Okay/Meh to me when I watch a few measly flakes. I will continue to watch the charts however, and get hopeful that maybe we will see a few cm's. I know that won't be likely though ... lol

It will be great to see some snow falling here in medway. I'm currently trying not to get too excited about this possibility though. ^_^

Well peeps are saying stronger wind gusts for 20:00-midnight but I'm not convinced the wind will get stronger where I am ... I hope I'm wrong though.

Hmmm ... just waiting. A minute ago there were a couple of impressive wind gusts here in Chatham ... and now just now another. I hope that means the wind is increasing once again?

That's strange. It's become really quite here... Wind has died right down for about 10 -15 mins

It's also kicked up a gear here too... and an aeroplane has just passed right above my house.... planes don't normally pass directly above chatham. ...I guess they're changing course due to the wind
