  1. The latest fax chart is showing more of a feature moving down from the north tomorrow, with a cold front and an occluded front following on behind. I would suggest that this will mean more precipitation but whether this will be rain, sleet or snow I don't know. http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/ukmo2.php?ech=24&carte=2000 Having said that there is a triple point and I believe I'm right in saying that anybody to the east of it is more likely to receive snow as the cold front has caught up with the warn front and is undercutting it. It's safe to say we wont know for sure until much nearer the time.
  2. Thanks for the reply. To be honest I'm so close to the sea that if the snow lasts for than a few hours during daylight hours I'm grateful
  3. I'm just off Langland Corner and the snow that's in the shade hasn't melted, but the temp has risen from 3.2 to 3.6 in the last hour. Hopefully, what snow we have left will last until the cold air really kicks in later.
  4. It's not so bad in the higher parts of Mumbles as the roads and lawns are covered, but it would have been good to have had a bit more!
  5. just rain in mumbles with a temp of 3.9 which is where it's been within .02 since yesterday afternoon.
  6. It was John Hammond. He also said on the Radio 4 12.57 news that next week "was looking distinctly wintry"
  7. We only had rain with some occasional sleet on the coast with the temp hovering around 2.5, although one of the kid's snowmen is still with us. Hopefully tomorrow we might get some more snow.
  8. Similar here, although not the same quantity as we are too close to the sea. What an amazing spell of weather! I've seen falling snow every day since Monday which exceeds virtually all the wintery spells of the 70s and 80s. The snow never lasts long here, but this really is an exceptional spell and its just starting snowing again <_<
  9. Light snow this morning which makes it 6 days with falling snow this week. Amazing. Kids are off school which is ridiculous as it will all be gone by 11am. Anyway, out we go again for a quick snow ball fight
  10. Its even settling right on the coast as we have 2cm with moderate snow.
