Does anyone have have a link to view northern hemisphere T850 temps? Thanks.
-
Of course cold air is always more likely to plunge into central europe rather than the Uk. Im not surprised at a shift eastwards of the high.
-
So people think the northerly next week could bring snow to the south west ( away from Exmoor and Dartmoor, for me being in North devon, NW are the best shot for snow.
-
It looks rubbish next week, just a load of cold rain. Always downgraded the closer it got. Nothing to be excited about.

This is usually my fear with the high getting to far east and the coldest air going into germany and france.
-
Id like to see the high pressure further west in FI to let the coldest uppers come west, otherwise they go into central Europe which is normal.

Did chivenor record the highest temprature in the uk today? if not if must of got very close.
-
Just come back from west exmoor, some great snow and drifts up there, crazy how just going up a little higher and its all snow.
-
Snow settling on the grass here.
-
I miss the December 2010 event, were no worries then. Rain is heavy and blustery now.
-
Will snow settle on these wet surfaces?
-
Fingers crossed, Crazy temp drop here, rain has got heavy now aint it, Atleast Exmoor will get a good coveringTemps dropped right down since last post! 1.6c and -3 d.p I don't think it'll be long now till it starts turning to snow
-
Raining here right now, temp needs to keep dropping like the met says so.2.3c here with dew point of -2c... Can't believe it was 5.2c hour and a half ago!
-
Im in barnstaple aswell and have very light rain on and off, BBC says it will turn to snow 3am, praying like mad it will.
-
The temp drop seems it will be very fast, a rare thing around here. 4c drop in a few hours.
-
Does anyone have a accute website for dew points? Wunderground has gone wrong fro my location.
-
So what time will this front start turning to snow? BBB has barnstaple down for snow from 3am but it looks like the front will reach here before that.
-
So what time is this front ment to hit land, BBC is showing it hitting devon at 2am but looks on the radar it will be earlier?
-
The line stops about 20 miles from me aswell, friggin joke.Aww look how that line misses the more extreme coasts in southern areas, that's where I am haha.
Well looking forward to the next lot of models. I'm not sure what to expect to be honest, it's a very hard one to call. It's going to be a looonng day tomorrow of will it won't it, I'm not sticking my neck out for my area until I see more info and maybe tomorrow when it's much closer.
-
Is their snow potential tuesday aswell as the low drops south? it seems to be still in the Uk on tuesday.
-
Shortwaves always seem to pop up in the short term, its like they cant be modeld in the medium term.
-
Just looking now like it will be just a battle ground scenario, with mild air pushing back the cold air during the week.
-
Yes very marginal, will probaly need colder uppers. What would the Ecmwf bring for the S.W with that front Monday. Looks a knife edge to me?
-
Yes the further south that low goes the better.
