    Monday does look intresting the band of precip looks to go no further than peterborough. like i said earlier in this thread south leicestershire along with northants have the biggest threat.

    Depends on what you call the south.. I'm south Midlands ,but also classed as East Midlands. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/em/...t_warnings.html If thats correct ^^ could be upto 17 inches of snow in this area ..including the 9 inches in the garden now. :lol:

    I saw on TV that some parts of south leicestershire near the northants borders have took a real pasting unlike other parts of leicestershire. Could the next few days be a repeat performance???

    Its unbelievable up here in northants and the METO has just issued warnings for sunday,monday and tuesday. Look forward to reading your reports.i was stunned why the area i thought would get a mega pasting got nothing.......

    I'm in kingsthorpe N,pton . Think tomorrow will be borderline for us. got about 9 inches in the back garden. If we get another heavy snowfall tomorrow it will be amazing for our area,4 heavy snow storms in a week. :o I see husband bosworth made the BBC news yesterday :o

    Cheers for the reply. Yeah, its been a bad 48 hours down here. got mild late evening yesterday and thawed at least 3 inches of the 6 inches we had. had a good 5-6 inches from 8am this morning. still, it does not beat the 15 inches of snow we had in Bolton in 1979

    I think most parts of Oxfordshire have come out worse in the the last 24 hours. Oxfordshire and Northants have took a battering in the last 48 hours

    I thought the cold air was from the north was already in the north west? Was hoping that very cold air was going to be pushing into northamptonshire by 5 or 6pm temp at the moment 0.6 and its starting a slow thaw of the 9 inches of snow in my back garden.

    Becoming brighter up here, slight snow melt, still tons once the cloud breaks and the freezing temps come it will take a while too shift this lot.

    Well if thats comes off it will take about 6 months to melt the amount of snow we've got.

    Son's football practice has been called off in moulton for this evening. Would not want to travel down the back routes from kingsthorpe to moulton :o

    Amazed of how much snow has fell in shuch a short time.flakes are getting bigger must be 4-5 inches of new snow since 8am !!!

    One minute it looks like its easing, now its coming down very heavy again!!! If this carries on I'll have a foot of snow in my back garden
