    I’m secretly optimistic about everything atm. Band of precipitation is further north for tonight, predicted weekend warm up is getting less and less.. I just have a feeling it’s going to be a very cold winter. currently sat in bed freezing cold and feeling shocking though!

    Snowing in Glastonbury - glad I came home early as it was sheet ice in Puriton where we must have had freezing rain over night.. I’d have missed this otherwise. Not sure where this is coming from as there’s hardly anything on the radar

    Well I’ve not ventured out but it looks like a skate rink here in Puriton. I think I’m going to have to head to Yeovil later as my boys grandad isn’t too good (not expected to last much longer) in hospital. I’m dreading getting out of the village and gutted there’s no snow!

    Did anyone see a bright light in the sky under the moon earlier? Around 6pm. I thought it was a star/planet but it was BIG and gradually faded and went below the horizon so couldn’t have been and if it was an aeroplane it’s lights would have been the other way. It was there for some minutes and wasn’t a meteor

    Power gone out around 10am in parts of Wells, surrounding villages and parts of Glastonbury (I have power here).. eta for back on is 6pm. Wonder what caused it? As it’s not windy today

    It was definitely worse for half an hour or so here. Three trees down between Glastonbury and wells apparently. Not sure if we are through the worst yet or not

    I’m not sure. Judging by the latest pressure gradient map we are still in the thick of it… though it does seem a bit calmer
