  1. -1.2 here and definitely rain in the air

Not got above this temp all day and conditions underfoot are treacherous (know because I went down and my shopping slid across the ice)

One section of road is diabloical, entrance road to Waitrose car park and cars have been wheel spinning/sliding all day long

Apart from the madness in the shop which I didn't join, can't work out why it hasn't been gritted. Its a council owned car park and going to be an accident sooner or later, might have already been for all I know.

  2. Really hoping to see some snow on Tues 22nd, its my birthday and have never seen any for the past 50 years (admittedly lived in London for most of it and cheated one year in Innsbruck, but that doesn't count)

Had a look at the met office five dayer and they are giving heavy snow for my location mon night and tues day, but the tues nightime is a puzzle.

Temp of -7c with Drizzle, yet down the road in Cambridge is saying Fog, how likely is Drizzle given those sorts of overnight lows?

Also not convinced that the predicted low will materialise either or at least not as far north as me

  3. Stopped in Cambridge now and from looking at the radar it would appear the bulk of the ppn is sitting roughly over the Peterborough area.

Presumably this lot will trundle south again later and i'm a bit concerned about my journey back up the A14 to St Ives

Just checked the Cambridge University Weather, in fact quite useful for anyone in this area, so here's the link
