-1.0C here at 06.30, just looked at 7.10 and it's at 0C, nice sunrise over the lakes at the rear of my house.
Beautiful out yesterday, calm and relatively warm in the sun, much nicer than the usual drab January's we often get

-3.2c here at six o'clock, blanket on the windscreen overnight was definitely needed.
Off out in a minute with some grub for the birds and most importantly water too

Well snow forecast here between 8 and 10 this morning and I have to take my car to Huntingdon to get the brakes on my car replaced.
I mean come on, I am fighting sods law with sods law here. Surely the Fens snow shield can't hold if it has the chance to screw me over by dumping a load of snow on the roads.
Coming to the wrong place for snow although it can be totally different in Huntingdon just six miles up the road from me.
I'm off to London for a photography event so even if we get anything will probably miss it.

Rain has stopped here now, bugger all snow

Must be getting near the time for the old EA forum to be open again. Too wide an area when its this busy from Kings Lynn to the South Coast.

In the past there has often been a late correction Northwards for these type of events.

Off to Innsbruck for the New Year, only sightseeing and hoping to catch a bit of the four hills ski jumping.
Would have liked some snow, but sunny days won't be too grim after the cack fest here and it will cut down on the clobber we need to take.

Hi Huntso, still time yet, but as you say looks awful so far. The days of sunshine have been relentless and could be a record sunny December in these parts. Not particularly warm at the moment but we expect warming up at elevation as this week progresses . That's really bad news. The ski -season as you will be aware only lasts about 16 weeks at best, so a lot of businesses need the snow to survive. Unfortunately the drought is now tiresome and become a real pain. Anyway , hope you enjoy your time in Innsbruck at least the beer and food will be spot on !

Hi C, yes still time, but warming up even at higher elevation doesn't sound good. My fifth time in Innsbruck, remember Xmas 86 well, so much snow we could hardly land at Insbruck airport, on out last try of three before we would have to be diverted. As you say the food and drink will be good, really miss goulash soup and grostl when I return home. Hope it picks up later on in the season for you, might try to return if it does, quite fancy the area around the Zugspitze
Cheers

Hope its a bit colder after Christmas, booked up flights plus hotel for Innsbruck and the ski jumping on Jan 2nd/3rd
Always a bit hit and miss over the festive period, but looks awful this year, feel very sorry for the people whose livelihood is affected

Might only be a flurry, but can officially say I have seen snow here this winter

Looks like we might get sonething here tomorrow if its cold enough mid morning
Anything would be a bonus, bit like the unexpected point the O's got tonight at Preston
-
Got a yellow alert for snow here tomorrow morning, be surprised if it comes to much though.
Bit far north for anything on Sunday I reckon, but the way it keeps changing who knows
Come on you O's up at Preston tonight, not expecting much from that either

Yes, Alex was slightly incoherent this evening, think we are getting slow!!
Must be the worst weather presenter ever when it comes to the spoken word, always cheery though

Wandlebury might be ok

Not bad at all by St Ives standards
Glad it wasn't too heavy, my daughter works in BSE and commutes by bus from St Ives so hopefully her journey will be ok

Costing me a fortune in grub for the birds, even my Holly tree is now devoid of berries, well worth it though.
Out there again in the morning with water for them, already -2.2c and falliing
