  1. You can see the first band of continental snow working its way into the south-east now: Meteox radar
  2. Agree 100%. Posters will migrate to the right place. Don't overcomplicate it.
  3. I'm down by Barming Bridge. Just a few small flakes left now.
  4. Snow almost stopped now. 8 cm of fresh snow just west of Maidstone. Temp just dropped below freezing. Perfect. Mark.
  5. About 5cm of fresh snow in the last 2 hours down by the river just west of Maidstone, and still snowing nicely. Surprised, as it looked like the heavy band would clear away south quite quickly, but it seems to have become something of a streamer. Mark
  6. The heavier snow band seems to be moving south into Kent more quickly now. I guess this means it'll clear more quickly too. Mark
  7. A few flakes starting to fall here, just west of Maidstone in Kent. Temp has risen from -2 to -0.3 in the last hour. Hopefully it won't get any higher now the snow has started. Mark
  8. Hmm. Wouldn't want to worry anyone but you're right. It looks a long way south. It's hard too see how that will hit the UK, looking at the radar animation.
  9. Slight covering from the showers this morning: maybe half a centimetre. Looking at the radar, there's some nice big blobs in from the north sea, but they are very slow moving. Might be a long wait until the next shower, but once you get one it should last a while. Mark - west of Maidstone, Kent
  10. It's just about light enough for a pic from down near where I live...
  11. Good news. I work up near Rochester airport, so a day off for me I think . Down here by the River Medway west of Maidstone, we have 6 inches so lord knows how much you must have on top of the downs. Mark
  12. Well having risen four deg (to 8C) in around an hour, the temp has just dropped nearly a deg (back to 7C) in 15 mins. Here comes the cold air.
  13. Snow must be very close to you - I'm only a couple of miles west of you and its snowing lightly. Keep watching that lamp-post!
  14. Light snow falling here now at 1.2C, and the radar suggests a heavier burst could move up from the south later.
