  1. is anyone else getting nervous about the upcoming spell? I think because the met are so not sure about it, I feel really nervous it isn't going to happen. Summer Sun said the Icon has moved back to yesterday, bringing in the milder air quicker. gosh this is nerve wrecking.
  2. I thought we were on Amber earlier?? Confuzzled.com
  3. Exciting times. Thanks Andy for the Reply.
  4. Have posted it Andy. Can I ask that what would need to change for Ireland not to get the blizzards (as they are predicted to get the worse of it) for us then to be maybe getting what they are forcast too? A few days ago I thought we were meant to get the most and then vaguely remember that it changed. Only asking as their forecast uses the word "blizzard" but ours says snow and wind. Thanks.
  5. What a brilliant post Dave. Thank you for all the effort and time and hard work it must have taken. Much appreciated.
  6. Confirm I have my first snow snizzle In Magor .
  7. I fancy a good moan. Not saw one flake of snow this year in South East Wales where I live and only a couple of flakes the last few winters. I seriously got hooked, line and sinkered into thinking it would be winter/spring wonderland and now have (by the looks of it) freezing rain to look forward too. Horrible/dangerous useless stuff. Oh and also I look a right plonker again warning all my colleagues/friends/family and making them all stock pile on supplies. Lol oh well, hope we have a great spring.
  8. God I can't keep up. Now in south east wales mainly freezing rain (that stuff is lethal, horrible, dangerous and absolutely no fun. Bring on the spring.
  9. Well earlier I was down for snow on metoffice for Tuesday, Wed, Thurs and Friday. Just looked and now only for Thursday. typical.
  10. Well for something so big and dangerous, not one mention of it on the news tonight? Don't get it. Surely if it was really going to be so much disruption or risk they would be mentioning things by now?
  11. I have to admit to being ever so excited. I remember the 1978 (I believe) blizzards in Hanham where I grew up, I was 10 years old and it was so utterly amazing amd magical. Thats where I got my love of snow from. We had to get neighbours digging each other out of their doors it was incredible and no matter if it was not as bad this time (not that I expect anywhere near that) but too have a little reminder of the power of nature would be amazing.
  12. well I have been wondering why the news etc have not been on board in warning people over this spell, maybe they have had more of a idea that it would not be as severe as we think it to be? hope not :-(
  13. Lol Andymusic, love that you are still as enthusiastic as always.... keep up the fab work.
  14. Good luck to us all who want the snow. Fingers crossed we all get some.
  15. It is all so confuzzeling.... one minute in south west thread the champagne was on ice and i was getting hopeful and excited and next time I looked, champagne was put back in the cupboard and it is very deflating. Just going to look out the window tomorrow and see what falls from the sky. Good luck to everyone though who wants the snow.
  16. Will it depend on elevation again Andy?
  17. Nope..... nothing as per usual lol. Hi Andy, enjoying all your posts though.
  18. Hi Guys and Gals, Happy New Year to you all and more importantly Good luck getting the snow ;-), exciting evening of lamp post watching is hopefully on the cards, you just can't beat it. Happy Birthday Jay.
  19. Totally agree. I am a Bristolian living just over the severn bridge in Magor and I would love the merging idea as well. ;-) Fingers crossed we will all get lucky (if it is snow you like) at least sometime this winter.
