well a lovely ''summers'' day today im calling it the summer we never had!! 20c reached in clear skies however it did cloud over this afternoon which was disappointing.
and it looks like a fair bit of cloud on sat images

very windy here currently, southerly 35mph with gusts 40-50mph only light intermitant rain. also very mild at 16.4

the breeze has picked up in the last half hour from a SE direction, expecting a very windy morning here with 50-55mph gusts

i think the depression is predicted to cross over here so would expect light winds for a while until they pick up form the west/north west

torrential rain on my drive home form work about 6pm, huge puddles of water and torrents running down the road like a river ive not seen that for a long time.
met office rainfall radar had downpour white echos over cumbria during that time
was glad to get home i can say!!

january 2005 was the worse storm to affect my area taking into account damage scale which saw whole oak trees blown down in town centres and chimneys and house roofs tore off,
official gust at st bees head was 104mph, i remember the met office issuing an emergency weather warning that afternoon. check the link its very interesting to read describing the storm development and official readings

quite a strong blow from this feature....at 8pm close to me at st bees head the wind was sustained at 37mph gusting around 50mph+

its very wet and windy 30mph southerly wind gusting over 40mph and lashing rain on the window perfectly acceptable for a dec/jan/feb night...at least its not to cold at 12c!!!

well its sunny and 23c.
seems very high 23c thats 8c higher than some locations near you are reporting,
its 18c here with showers drifting around. much fresher than thursday when it hit 28c!!
