Ignore the fake maps, it's just someone's idea of a joke.
I thought it was funny. It was obviously Photoshopped anyway, someone just changed the yellow wind warning to a red snow warning lol

It's no December 2010, but it's already better than last winter. Wales seems to have most of the snow showers tonight, barring northern Scotland of course.
-
Full on snow here too!

Then there'll be a hosepipe ban!So very tired of all this rain and wind. Such a pain for so many people - we badly need at least a few weeks of dry, calm weather in February.
-
Here we go again. Every year we put ourselves through this rollercoaster! We must be mad :-)
-
Sounds like you lot have had some amazing snow in North Wales - slightly jealous although I wouldn't want trees and power lines coming down I must admit!
-
Snow really coming down here niw
-
It's finally turning to snow here after heavy sleety rain since yesterday morning!
-
I just noticed the odd flake falling so looked up mountain and I would say 400m als is snow line I can see the snow from my back door and its melting as it comes down the mountain but odd flake and sleet by me. I would imagine the beacons having very heavy snow right now as they are 200m higher than bwlch mountain. yes north wales could get very heavy snow and parts of England. and we could very well get some flooding in some parts of the south.
Yes, definitely more snow in the mix here now although nothing particularly exciting!

Forget the snow shovels, where's me boat
GFS shifts things further North a bit. I still feel for Wales mainly high ground in the N/E for snow settling.
I'm trusting what TEITS says in the model thread about the south correction - he's usually right in these situations!
-
GFS 18z Wales coming more and more into the firing line with each passing of the GFS models
Yes another shift south again, let's hope this trend continues tomorrow!
-
The recent south-west correction could well bring Wales into the firing line for snow! There's talk of the precipitation now not making much inroads to the UK with the colder air moving further south so we could get something out of this after all.
-
Had a snow shower here a short while ago, was very light and didn't settle. Next week is looking cold though.
-
Now that the sun has gone down, the showers will unfortunately start to die out.
-
Frustrating but it better than nothing!
True, it's been realy nice seeing blizzard conditions during showers!
-
Snow showers have really pepped up recently - starts to settle but just doesn't last long enough!
-
Snow showers have been pretty rubbish here - light and short-lived
-
A lot of people seem more upbeat in the model thread tonight - unfortunately there has been a lot of IMBYism from a lot of members in SE England as usual which has become very irritating.
-
Surprisingly cold here today - still only 2.2ºC
EDIT: Hmmm. I think my weather station may be broken lol
-
Heavy snow and settling here, such a shame it will turn to rain!
-
I think we could see a bit of snow here in the valleys tomorrow morning before it turns to rain. Snow to rain events are pants generally though.
-
ITV Wales weather just said snow tonight, I don't have a lot of faith in their forecasts though lol.
-
We know around 10pm ,need to watch radar to see how precipitation develops..
Thanks! After last night's debacle it would be nice to get something at least.
-
Worth watching tonight as an area of sleet and snow pushes across Wales at around midnight temps around 0c favored areas could well get a covering ,much better set up than last night.
What are the favoured areas please?

Model thread is like a primary school playground today, or is it the south east England regional thread? I can never tell these days!
