Wow! It didn't stop snowing completely all day yesterday and is going again this morning. Added some pics to show the difference overnight. First was yesterday afternoon around 4pm second is just now before I got back in bed! Been a very long time since I last saw this much. It was up to 10cm as of yesterday afternoon and there's definitely a food few cm more on top. The wind helped smooth it all out last night but it just keeps coming down, even if it is light.

Yup I honestly can't remember when it last snowed all day and night!

Just been out and from a good spot in the garden I've measured 15cm perhaps a little bit more If we have much more I'll completely loose the ruler.

Drifts well up to my knees!

  2. So 10 year old has woken up, and despite no ' winter wonderland' that he had hoped for he's still fairly positive he will see snow today.

is it still set on? According to an app I'm at 1c here in Ipswich I only have apps to go on - can anyone assist me with a temperature and dew points please?

ipswich (I'm about 4 miles outside of it) was right in the heart of the amber zone - really do hope it's still going to happen.

read some posts that the snow/cold is delayed? What may have caused this? If true?

  3. Well the other half has just woken me up when he's come up to bed.

Had a curtain twitch as he woke me up... almost 2am and nothing

I'm about 4 miles outside of Ipswich. Please tell me it's still coming? I've got a 10 year old who's been eagerly watching the predicted amounts like a hawk over the last 24 hours or so and who thinks he will be going sledging and clearing the driveway with a shovel come Sunday morning!

  4. So I’ve finally got round to gathering my snow supplies....

last time it snowed enough to use a sledge properly it was March 2013 my son was two and used the little baby blue sledge.

He spotted the red sledge this morning and his excact words were ‘Mummy there’s this large red circle thing in the shed what is it!...

Hopefully next week he will get to enjoy it. The snow shovel has never been used and the cobwebs I have just removed were a testimony to that. The same with the grit, my mum gave them to me when she moved back is 2014!.

  5. Hellloooooo...

Long time member very little poster...

however here I am joining in in the run up to what could be a great week next week.

i need to dig out the sledges from the shed, my son hasn’t really seen large snowfall, he’s just turned 7. Having missed the great winters of 2009/2010!.

i have however purchased some proper snow boots! I don’t drive so I think (and hope!) they will be used next week!.
