Passing downpour here now - did JUST miss as I suspected it might - haven't heard any thunder but the sky does look thunder - looks as if it has a pretty substantial anvil on it too! My get interesting for NE London, NW Essex in the next 10-15 minutes or so.
Just after I saw your post it wandered over here as well, looked as it if should have provided more... but there is plenty more Monday to come

Not a lot happening in London at the moment, though there is a new potential cell developing to the far SW of London - may run close to S London, though looks at the moment to track across possible north of Sussex towards Surrey and then into Kent - will keep an eye on it though.
Where can u see this cell, I can see it on Sat24.

I think my heart is going to give up the ghost with all this radar watching, I've been stood on a chair in the garden looking over toward Tonbridge to see if I could see anything, hoping that beasty moving toward you can trek 30k inland

What are the chances of anything occuring tonight this way, 41% chance around 7pm apparently (I know... I'm getting desperate)

For the first time there appears to be rapid movement, cloud moving over me at a fair rate of knots and it's ink blank but I've heard nothing as of yet. Has there been a sudden wind shift as there has been no movement here for atleast a hour and even whilst writing this it's shifting at a fair rate.

I can now see two stunners, tried setting up the webcam but it's too bright outside. I don't know if it's wishful thinking but i think it's moving toward me.

Having quite a amusing time watching the planes bank around the cell north of me, lovely dark bases in the distance.

Does anyone know what direction these are headed, i think i can currently see three cells, one towards maidstone, one over south london and the other over sutton i think.

Well the sun has come out here for a short while so i do believe it is breaking up, I've even gone and gotten myself a full subscription at long last, just need to figure out what's what

Best buy a couple of spare hats, then - rain radar shows a big clump of precipitation heading your way. Arriving, say, 4pm?

been very still in Reigate all night tonight but looking on the met office website they've recorded a 30mph gust close to me, could this be linked to the impending storms.
