Very heavy and fairly persistant rain here since about 8:30, roads have flooded but thankfully river levels have been low. No T&L yet though, CAPE only about 550 J/Kg. Looking at the radar I might get another battering soon.

Not been a bad day here. Has been pretty cloudy - 5 or 6/8 with a maximum temp of 19 DgC. Also been quite windy with a max wind speed of 24mph. Looks pretty much the same for tomorrow aswell, perhaps a little warmer.

I believe that the NHC are now forcasting max winds of 70 KT for the 14th at 1800z.

Im sure this is good news for many. Although am I right in believing it was likely to stay in the Atlantic and not make land fall.

yeah, ive always thought that when they say thundery showers they mean short, and very heavy downpours rather than T&L storms

My apologies, ive been very busy all day and ive gotta go back out in a couple of mins so havent got time to read back through all the posts but looking at a couple im guessing that it hasnt come to much.

How annoying. The last few days the storms have been predicted to be in the SE but today they've moved west closer to me. I wasnt going to bother chasing these before today so I let my sister borrow my car for the day and now the storms are just over the bridge, perfect to chase.

really wish I had the car today, why did I let my sister borrow it Im gonna go rant in the no storms club.

That heavy rain to the West of Reading has really developed. Looks like it could get a bit wet in Oxford.

Am I right in remembering that to start with this possible storm was forcast for the midlands before it all started moving East. Maybe it'll head back to the midlands area.
