  1. This means nothing of weather events are getting more or less severe! The fact that deaths have dropped is due our ongoing development of strategies to cope better with disasters.
  2. Can't remember the last time there was a good Autumn or winter storm. God damn. Someone give me a prediction or something even if its unreliable or statistical. Cool with people moaning but people moaning about other people moaning is really the pinnacle of Forums!
  3. So basically there prepared to tear apart the universe to find some sort of 'answer' ???!
  4. The roads were practically turning into streams on the south downs near Brighton earlier, got soakered by a passing bus while i was on my bike. Some thunder.
  5. guess 6.9C about time we had a good old average one. Joy!
  6. In the great words of Stephen Hawking, if we made contact with aliens "I think it would be a disaster. The extraterrestrials would probably be far in advance of us. The history of advanced races meeting more primitive people on this planet is not very happy, and they were the same species. I think we should keep our heads low." Genius. I think it would be backward to think we were the only intelligent life form in a virtually infinite universe. As for UFO's one has to keep in mind most or even all sightings are identifiable as non-alien, as mysterious as they may seem to the viewer.
  7. So elusive, if the observed kp were anything to go by we'd all be seeing something and scotland would be right under it, they must have got it wrong?
  8. I was expecting more widespread sightings filling the sky given the so called Severe Storm of Kp7 or 8 depending on sources.
  9. 127C top temperature today according to netweather in Holbeach wherever that is.
  10. I dont see anything of the thunder we had half an hour ago, is the lightening track image delayed for free version or something?
  11. Thunderstorm here in SW London! Not major just a few rumbles and a couple of flashes but still
  12. Unbroken Sunshine, 30.3C hottest part of Britain!
  13. similarly here, i dont know how much in 3 months but in 3 weeks we've had an absolute soaking of 1mm. generally been the driest/ hottest location in England here. hope all stays dry
  14. 31 C today in central London and 29.5C in my garden, quite a bit of cloud which cooled things later on though. tomorrow at least 30C i hope. maybe 32 ! sounds like a tornado, probs best u evacuate.
  15. i highly doubt any big thunderstorms over the next few days despite the heat, definitely exceeding 30C in london. The air mass is pretty dry and stable atm. Im hoping sometime next week we will get the big thundery breakdown!
  16. very hot and dry week on the way for most of us, droughts for crops im guessing.
  17. thats what i was wondering, cape of 1150 j and li -4 where i am but really? it seems hazy and not even that warm.

  21. hhm solarflux generally on a low these past 2 months, think your getting a ramp up.. then its like ramp up fails >.< :/
  22. Monday 14 June 2010 to Sunday 27 June 2010 Low pressure greets high summer The sun is now at its strongest, heating things up quickly given half a chance. But low pressure, taking up residence near our shores, will help suck the warm air up to form big clouds and heavy downpours. This combination of heat and water causes the atmosphere to become increasingly highly charged with energy; and thunder and lightning are nature's way of releasing that energy. Expect interruptions to the first week of Wimbledon! good good :]
