Been another beautiful day but very chilly in the wind,in the sheltered part of my back garden the temperature reached 23c but in the wind 12c was about the maximum.Current temperature 9.8c with a moderate wind ,still sunny but some high cloud,barometer 1015mb and steady.

Despite the easterly, it's been a fine day in Tyneside, with a high of 12C. It felt chilly in the breeze but notably warm in the sunshine.

Indeed, it was fine yesterday too, and there were even some sunny intervals around on Wednesday. I think I was a bit over-pessimistic this time about sunshine amounts in the east!

Been raining lightly/moderately since about 1600, 5mm so far of good, not run off rain.

The wind has died out after it was so strong in the sunshine earlier.

Slight cloud, the rain in the west over Bristol seems to have stalled rather than continue east towards me.

The morning started off with another ground frost after the temperature earlier almost reached the freezing mark. It was however sunny for the whole day, with not a single cloud in the sky for the most part. It actually felt very pleasant despite only reaching around 14°C, but the easterly breeze strengthened mid-afternoon making it feel much chillier. This evening has seen cloud build up and clear spells are becoming fewer and further between, despite this the temperature is again dropping quickly meaning another ground frost is possible. Interestingly, it has now been over a week since a minimum over 4.6°C has been recorded, quite astonishing for April.
