Fog at first this morning, clearing by 1045. A few sunny intervals developed after 1130 but the cloud filled in again by 1300 and intermittant light rain arrived by 1330.

The rain became heavy at times between 1600 and 1730 (surprising since the local forecast mentioned only a little drizzle or patchy light rain over the Peak District) and thick fog descended onto the hills by 1630.

Another wet day today. We had about 2 hours of fairly heavy rain and lighter rain before and after that. The fields are still flooded around here and all the leaves seem to have come off at once! It was was also very mild today, and actually feels warmish outside now, and its warmer than it was most of the day!

Report for Wednesday 26th October 2005, Readings taken at 23:50.

A much more settled day than recently. The morning and most of the afternoon saw mostly cloudy skies with sunny spells, some lasting quite a while. Just before dark however it clouded over and rained a little. The evening has remained overcast and despite being very mild there is a significant dew. Overall the day was well above average and the latest date to reach 18°C since I began recording.

Current Temp: 14.8°C

Max Temp: 18.1°C (at 14:10)

Min Temp: 9.5°C (at 07:30)

Humidity: 92%

Min Humidity: 74% (at 14:25)

Pressure: 1010.3hPa (Rising)

Dewpoint: 13.5°C

Wind: SSE (6mph)

Rain Today: 1.0mm

My October average currently stands at 13.3°C (+2.6°C Above the 1971-2000 average).
