Report for Tuesday 24th January 2006, Readings taken at 22:45.

A mostly cloudy day with occasional sunny spells, becoming more prolonged into the afternoon. The evening then saw mostly clear skies for a while with a little mist, which allowed temperatures to plummet. The minima of -1.9°C this evening was the coldest January value since 29th January 2004. The last few hours however have seen it become overcast and the temperature rise accordingly. Overall, today was well below average and the coldest January day in 2 years.

very quiet, so much so that I could hear the local lifeboat engines as it returned to harbour 2 miles away, after a search of the bay ! (either that or it was very loud ;) )
