So Big day today what with Ozzies Birthday, No seriously another Moderate Risk and another event, this time a Landspout at 346pm which again is verified on the SPC Site, this was in the Early Stages of the Monster Mason County Supercell which we saw from Initiation until we left it at 8Pm. I have no camera pics of this just Video but Ozzie will post a pic for you all to see. So we left Snyder and headed South and East to our Target which was Sterling City just South of Interstate 20, this was where we thought initiation would kick off and we were spot on. As we got to Sterling City i took this shot of their Tornado Sirens.

We watched a few cells pop to our South and East near San Angelo and decided on what would become the Mason County Supercell, again the biggest and best Storm of the Day, With a little help from the Baron's sytsem once again :o

post-24-1146809116.jpg post-24-1146809143.jpg - Rapid Convection !!

Pushed further South and East at this time as Storm became a Right Mover and was heading to the South East, was getting really hard to Chase now as Road Options became very hard, but we managed to get to just North West of Brady (Tx) we were then sitting in the optimum position with rotating wall clouds and Mesos crossing the road in front of us, but she could'nt just manage to drop a Tube :p

post-24-1146809447.jpg post-24-1146809474.jpg post-24-1146809499_thumb.jpg post-24-1146809536.jpg

Finally fell behind the Meso's and main Supercell because road options became impossible so Fuelled up the Chase Wagon and let the Gust Front (Pictured) and RFD (Rear Flank Downdraft) pass over us, only measured marble sized hailstones but had wind gusts to 64mph in Mason (Tx)

Finally headed North to stay the night in Brady (TX) and let a few severe storms rumble over us and get ready for the haul North-West tomorrow which looks like a good Tornado Day. So a few Lightning shots

Ozzie will post the Landspout picture tomorrow and some fantastic Lightning Shots from this evening.

Yes we are having fun, but very tiring, looks like the next 7 days will be action packed, ozzie still cannot believe the intensity of these storms, must sleep soon nearly 2am over here and we need to haul North-West tomorrow.

Looks very good and also good to see you've bagged yet another system, yesterday was going to be marginal for any tornadic activity, so feel good that you saw something as well!

Happy birthday Ozzie!

Again great pictures!!

Is there still the excitement and anticipation when you see those big dark clouds coming over, or has the tireness from all that travel taken the edge off?
