Hi all and happy new year

For the first day of 2007, west France was hit by plenty of tornadoes. There are in France about 30 tornadoes per year, but yesterday at last 6/8 tornadoes occured, probably more. We waiting for more information in the next hours, but there is strong damages in a lot of towns (Couhé (Vienne), La Genétouze (Vendée), Fougéré (Vendée), L'Hermenault (Vendée), Nieul (Vendée), St Aubin la Plaine (Vendée), Chantonnay (Vendée), Vannes (Morbilhan), Brest (Finistère)...).

Some people were wounded, but there is fortunately no deaths (except some sheeps).

We are always searching for more information on the ground ; at last TEN tornadoes, probably more, occured in France in less than 12 hours :)

You cand find photos and videos here.

Thanks for the updated link TreizeVents. It's a shame my French isn't very good as it would appear that there is a lot of information available on that forum. The pictures are good though, thanks :) .
