According to my weather station, it's a constant 87mph wind out there and bone-dry. I think it's buggered.

In Westbury ; day started drizzly, some sunny spells, heavy rain in the early evening. Max 13c.

In Birmingham ; between 11.00-18.00 was cloudy, little brightness, some drizzle.

Drive home on M5 ; shocking! Gale force crosswind & torrential rain squalls.

Well it's freezing cold here however it's very calm but when gust come it is freezing and the paths are icy as well as the cars.

The rain was quick to clear however, leaving clear skies afterwards. Overall it was a mild day, with last night especially being exceptionally above average.

last night (saturday) here in macclesfield, at 1905 the wind suddenly increased in force, from being 'windy' there was a roaring sound and the wind must have been 3times what it had been minutes before. it lasted maybe 10 mins or less. why does this happen??
