Hi Everyone,

I purchased a D-Link DCS-900 Internet Camera for my weather website. My goal was to post the camera image to my website, through live feed. However I am having no luck at all in doing this task. I have no experience in camera's but would like to show the whole world the weather in my backyard.

I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on how to connect the camera to the website.

Thanks,

Doug

You will simply need to capture an image from your camera and ftp it to your website, as a jpg or gif.

Are you using any kind of program/server to create the images?

Or any weather software like Weather Display 32, will do it.

If you are asking to stream live video, thats much the same, but you will need a local http server to be able to do that.

Once again weather software like weather display 32, will do it.

This obviously uses a fair bit of cpu, if thats a problem for your PC.

If you want to place a stream in your web page then try camscape.com. They provide the software and stream hosting and any help to get you up and running.. It is also presently a free service.. Worth trying.. :D
