Does anyone know of a link to a site that has charts going further back than 1899. The NW historical chart archive only goes back to 1899.

The reason I ask is this...

One of our local papers has a section devoted to stories from 25/50/75/100/125 years ago. For 1882 the featured article talks of a day very similar to those we had earlier this week ; heavy hailstorm, snow showers and bright sunshine. So I am really looking for charts from 18th-25th March 1882 so that I can compare them to this week's.

    Thanks.

    Ah wunderbar  !

    Thanks Mark!

Shows a rapidly changing flow for that week with winds from the E/NE/N/NW/W, my guess is that the showery day mentioned in the article was the 22nd with quite a straight N'ly flow like on Tuesday this week.
