The warmest and sunniest day of the year so far. Today's max' reached 15.7c and there were 11.78 hrs of sunshine and no more than 1 okta cirrus at any time.

The wind increased to around 15-20 mph and veered NW around 1700, the temp' fell by 4c over the next hour.

An acquaintance of mine went up to Whaley Bridge in Cheshire early this afternoon; he said there it was overcast with a temp' of 9c, a remarkable contrast over about 30 miles.
