A wild morning here in the Peak District.

Continuous heavy rain from about 0430, this has now eased to moderate rain driven by a NE wind averaging 32 mph and gusting to 53.

Temp' is 10.1c after a min' of 10.0c.

Rainfall from 1800 g.m.t yesterday to 0800 g.m.t today, 37.3mm which gives a 24 hour total of 51.5mm, the wettest June day since 1978.

Vis' is 3 miles.

I can only describe this as a rainstorm here !

We've had 1½ " rainfall since 7am and it's pelting down hour after hour.

Bungalows a few doors down flooded again and the drains overflowing.

Local weather station has gusts up to 52 mph too
