Well what a day  !

Started with a humid SW wind with sunshine and blustery light showers. Quite fine from midday until 15.00, then all the while thunderstorms approached from the West and we had 20mm of rain from them between about 15.30-16.30 . Sunny spells for a while, but heavy showery rain again this evening.

The wind has changed through the day from Sw-W-NW-N.

Max 22c and temp now 16c.

Hi, my first post here after lurking for ages but things need reporting perhaps!

Any Suffolk people see the sky this afternoon round about 4pm-5pm? Wonderful high clouds of different types dragging a huge swathe diagonally across the sky, and what I believe was a smallish fallstreak hole in the cloud layer (as well as a sun halo trying to emerge, and negative contrails). Really great, and I am gutted I couldn't take any pics (was in the car in Ipswich) can anyone confirm or elaborate on this? (no, not about me being in the car...)
