Last night about 8.00pm I felt a very minor tremor here. Some stuff on the draining board vibrated for a couple of seconds as well. No-one else seems to have felt anything including my partner who was in at the same time. I believe there's a site where you can see graphs of this sort of thing. Can anyone point me in the right direction and also did anyone else experience anything?

Just had a look at that site Nigel - interestingly, although I'm not sure exactly how to read the charts, three stations recorded something more than a straight line in the time period 7-8 ish. Thanks for the link.

It's the turkeys.. They are learning to march ahead of the the Christmas trots...

I am thrilled by your erudite and informed views about this - I knew someone a lot more intelligent than moi (a mere Norfolk dumpling) would have worked this out for me. I know who to ask in future.

"sarcastic emoticon" if I could find one!

:) mi hero!

My pressure..

On a serious note, I have had a nosey round a few sites and drawn a blank.

I looked at the British Geological Survey site - they have some graphs there - to be honest I'm not sure how to read them - but at three of their recording stations they showed more than just a straight line during that timeframe. I've e-mailed them to see if they can shed any light on it for me. Beginning to think it's me but I definitely heard the vibration and felt something.

Unlikely - I live in a location no-one can drive past.

Believe me it's impossible. Know what they can sound like tho as I used to live in town. Definitely wasn't one of them. If you could see where I live (and no - that's not an invitation) you'd understand that it couldn't be. I guess that without any other evidence I might have to start worrying about subsidence :)

sonic boom?

No - we get quite a few of those around here from Tornados and F111s flying out to the bombing ranges on the wash and are quite used to them. They do make things rattle etc but you also hear them.

It's been nearly 10 yrs since these were retired. !!

Well - whatever the Americans are flying these days.

More to the point - I e-mailed the BGS via a link on their website and today I got "your e-mail was deleted without being read" automatic message. Charming lot - if they don't want you to contact them why bother to put addresses on their website.
