Weather type: Severe Gales

Affecting: Wales, South West England, Central Southern England, The Midlands, East Anglia and Southeast England

Times/Dates Valid For: 21:00 Monday 12th January - 12noon Tuesday 13th January 2004

Discussion: A second depression is forecast to track across Central Britain during tonight and Tuesday morning, with the likely track taking the system across Northern England, meaning the strongest of the winds will be to the south.

Gales or severe gales are likely with winds gusting up to 60MPH across inland areas of Central & Southern England and Wales, with 70MPH gusts likely over exposed coasts and hills in Southwest England and Wales.

The track and intensity of this depression is liable to change still, so please stay tuned to updates either on the web, or on your TV.

Confidence Level: (60%)
