Sleety rain here too. The shower started off as rain with a temperature of 6C, but turned sleety as the shower got underway and temperatures responded.

Steady temperature of 5C here in Lancaster, with short-lived hail showers.

Past experience tells me that if we have any really heavy, prolonged hail (or sleet)showers the temperature is likely to fall to around 3C, given that my location is being warmed by winds off the Irish Sea, but at the moment the showers are too short to have an impact.

For the first time in ages, this day has been great, we have had snow (little bits, withing rain), sleet and heavy rain, now just got back from work, and we got lightning then thunder with heavy rain, what a day!

It's been snowing here (south of Birmingham) for the last 2 hours, but most of it is turning to slush when it hits the ground. I hope we get something that lasts and is deep for a few days. It's not too much to ask for...is it?

Light rain for most of the morning which turned to snow around 11am :D

Still snowing now though the grounds too wet for it to stick.

On News 24 at 1:55pm there was a sport report in Northampton live, and it was snowing really hard, with lying snow (about 1-2cm)

No snow here yet, Though I have the distinct feeling that it could start up any second.

Plus the council have just dropped a big tub of salt grit at the bottom of my close :(:D

Edit: And I was right there, Snow has just begun to fall here now, Lightly though, But it is doing, It has been half an hour since I posted the original message.
