No real surprise, though a tinge of disappointment, to wake up this morning and make out shades of green through the frosted glass of the bathroom. Temps hovering between 2.5-3C. Just been out for a paper and a few occasional blobs of well melted snow amongst what is otherwise light rain and drizzle. It's about 1% snow at best. Hard to make out the tops through the low cloud, but I suspect there's a thin cover on Simon's Seat, which as around 1500'.

we have had very heavy rain all night now since 4.00am..no let up...If this carries on we will have another flood.

Extremely cold here no snow or sleet...

4.oC...if it gets carries on through the evening I will be thinking of the summer floods

edit temp dropped in the last hr to 3.0C

Well, with all the reports of snow or wintry ppn, thought it about time to post something. OK. Had my curtains closed for the last couple of hours, as having a bit of a film fest, however....I think i've been transported to some wet land away from everywhere having snow.

Raining here, dont know the temperature, but certainly nothing wintry.

Seems like I have the South Derby Blues

Yesterday, Saturday 17th November

A clear sky overnight allowed the temperature to fall to -1c giving a slight air frost before midnight. Cloud increased during the early hours lifting the temperature and frost. Has been calm, dry and cloudy with a couple of bright spells up to reading time. Cloud broke later during the morning and afternoon with good sunny spells, more wind than of late, but it was also noticeably milder with the temperature reaching 9c. Rain set in during the early hours, total rain = 5mm.
