La Crosse or Oregon

I'm looking for a slighlty more featured weather station than my present Oregon system which is fairly basic with just an outside wireless temp sensor.

I've seen some La Crosse models for about £100 with wind speed, but I'm wondering if I go for a better Oregon model I could still use my sensor.

Is there much difference between La Crosse and Oregon in terms of quality?

I've just bought an Oregon WMR100 and was mainly swayed by better write ups for Oregon products in terms of service quality and reliability at a bout that price point. However the reports vary according to each particular model in both ranges.

Someone here might know more.
