Hello all I joined this forum as I was slowly becoming interested in the weather and now I am going to get some equipment!

What should I get out of these 3 things?

    1

    2

    3

I just want to know what you would get out of these 3 so that will help me chose.

    Thanks, Icer

I would agree with Greyowl as I think you would soon want to get something with more data than 2 gives.

Basically to record the weather, along with your own observation, you need max/min temperature sensor, and then rainfall and wind. Possibly the wind is the most difficult to get accurate readings as really you need to have it mounted about 30 ft high. For the rainfall try and pick a spot in your garden as far away as possible from anything likely to cause false readings. In the middle of a large lawn is perhaps ideal, if you have one?

    hope that helps.

above all enjoy your observing and the weather in general.
