    The heavy rain this evening (Friday) briefly turned to snow at 11.30 pm that settled straight away. Now just gone midnight and its back to heavy rain. sigh :D

    Ah, good old Cinderella snow :)

    Currently clear with a temperature of -2 degrees.

    clear and about to be sunny as it climbs over the horizon, no wind, just missed an air frost at +0.1C currently but white on most cars roofs etc.

    The rain eventually stopped last night around 22:00hrs after giving a total of 26mm, making it the wettest day since 25th June 2007. A clear sky followed allowing a ground frost to form. Currently at reading time, bright, icy and frosty.

    Clear periods last night lead to a ground frost. During the early hours low cloud, mist and fog spread in to the area, lifting the temperature slightly. Minimum air temperature 0.6, grass minimum –2.5c. Currently at reading time, overcast and misty. Rain set in by mid morning and was moderate throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon, turning to sleet during the early evening as the temperature fell from a maximum of 4c to 2.6c by 18:30hrs. Today turned out to be the wettest day since 25th June 2007 after 12 hours of moderate rain giving a total of 26mm.

    Yesterday evening's snow reverted to sleet after 1900 and died out by 2200, any lying snow thawed completely by dawn.

    In marked contrast to yesterday, today was dry with sunny periods, particularly between 1100 and 1400. High cloud began to increase from the west after 1500.
