I was looking at the met office website last night, and happened to see a small advert for the new warning system which is colour coded from green to red. it was late and was gonna read it more in depth today but it seems to have disappeared. does anyone have any more in depth info on this?

It's there again this morning, clour coded according to severity of event. Obviously realised that one level of alert just gets the wrong response

well it seems that it will be a good idea, the warnings will be better IMO for the variations across the country. seems a bit like an american sort of thing :D but even so, good to see the met o making changes.

I like the new Metoffice warning system, I think its easier for people to understand now. Its pretty cool!

The key to the warning colours is Here.
