On Tuesday I ventured up the Welsh valleys to the Neuadd Reservoirs to walk the Circuit up to Corn Du (866m) and Pen y Fan (886m), along to Cribyn (796m) and along the Roman Road back down towards the Reservoirs. It certainly was a lovely walk which I recommend to anyone who goes there.

tks for those photos, good timing, I'm on a walking weekend at HF in Brecon in 2 weeks time and I think one of the walks I suggested we do is partly along the line you showed in the photos.

Nice pics, they catch the atmosphere of moorland walks.

Just one note, I notice it says on that sign, permit holders only into the Neuadd reservoir area, was that reinforced or do you have a permit in particular, or even did you not walk in that area.

Interesting how in Wales so much area is restricted for public venturing.

Have a nice walking weekend, it certainly is a lovely area of that part of Wales. The mountains have a certain majestic feeling, even more so in snow but I left it a bit late for snow hehe.

Thank you very much. That's right about the reservoir permission, if you go off to the right of that sign that applies but I actually walked left around the public footpath. The only reason I took that was to introduce where I was walking with Pen y Fan in the background.

It says the photos have been moved or deleted?

Lovely area of Wales, Pen-y-Fan has a very distinctive shape and looks great from all directions.
