A cloudy start this morning, though clear skies for a time last night allowed the temperature to fall low enough for a ground frost, minimum air temperature, 0.4c, grass minimum –2.5c. At reading time, mostly cloudy but bright with the cloud thinning. The morning and in to the afternoon stayed dry with a few sunny spells, although with large amounts of cloud at times, feeling a little milder than of late. The evening saw outbreaks of showery rain move in to the area. Top temperature 11.5c, rain, 1mm.

An "unspectacular" day if you like storms, but I suppose the blossom is still on the trees! :o Great visibility though must be able to see 60 miles thats if youve got a good set of eyes though! Cumulus congestus floating over the weather station....

Persistent showers yesterday evening, eventually clearing just after midnight. The cloud broke and clear periods developed allowing a slight ground frost and, towards dawn, thick fog. The fog cleared by 0715 g.m.t and it was dry for a couple of hours before heavy showers of sleet, then rain, moved from the south.

This area of showers cleared by midday but there were more short showers during the afternoon, some with small hail. The cloud has largely dispersed since 1600 g.m.t allowing a sunny end to the afternoon but I can see a mass of cirrostratus and altocumulus on the western horizon as something approaches from Wales.
