Does anyone else live in an area which regularly breeds thunderstorms?

I'd never thought of that being the case here until this year, despite living right on the edge of Salisbury Plain, however today is the 3rd day that heavy, widespread thunderstorms have bred over or very near to my location and moved in a N/NW direction!

The dates have been : Friday 9 May, Tuesday 1 July and now Monday 28 July and on every occasion there hasn't been a drop of rain here but torrential rain has affected places within a few miles!

This area regularly breeds storms when the wind is W or SW.. They travel about 20 miles and then generally explode over north Lincs.. Had a discussion With Paul Sherman last year about it..
