Yesterday afternoon i took these photo of a little storm passing over my workplace in the north of Amersfoort, Netherlands.

As soon as i saw the precipitation fall a ran up the fire staircase (All metal) and took the photos, but after just 6 photos thunder and lightning.

So i came down again as quick as posible.

The little storm formed just for the town Soest and moved just north over Amersfoort and disipated again ( I counted 8 lightning discharges).

Cool shots Jurgen, I love watching when rain curtains begin to form beneath the shower clouds. That's one narrow downpour on the 2nd photo B) !

I've noticed shower clouds often tend to do that when they're developing, with narrow shafts of precipitation coming out of the cloud. That said, I often find that if the cloud comes over, it gives a heavy shower even if you miss the main shaft, while under the shaft it tends to be torrential!
