As the title says this is one mighty close lightning strike - and just listen to the thunder

That was great! The camera operator did well to keep things roughly in frame. Had it been me I would have dropped it and be hiding under the stairs in a second!

Only just found this thread due to inactivity in the storm sectors of weather!

The one at the end is close enough, let alone the main strike. There's an insane part of me that wishes to have lightning strike that close, as long as I'm safe!

We had a very close strike on the Netweather chase in Arkansas back in May, cg hit the powerlines above our car which was parked (Warning: bad language!):
