My VP2 display is acting up.

It's started flickering a lot, and half the time, not showing up at all except for the odd character. My power unit had failed so it was running off battery power. However, I rigged up a new power supply, which initially sorted the problem, but now it's doing it again. I've put fresh batteries in, but it makes no difference whether it's mains fed or battery powered. In terms of recording and uploading data, it's working fine.

Could this simply be down to operating in a cold shed? It's about 5º in there most of the time, but perfectly dry, or could it just be knackered?

I would move the unit inside and see if it makes any difference to the LCD. Did read somewhere constants low temps can make them play up.

Of course - I forgot I could move it because it's wireless. My website would be down for a while though and my public would be up in arms.

I could turn the heating on in the office - cunning!
