Right now in Basildon its snowing hardest its been so far, cannot see the town buildings again, the snow my son wiped off our bannisters an hour ago has been replaced with another inch already.

Dont get confused with small fine snow and that of sleet... Just been in Canterbury and it was fine snow flakes, in Whitstable its larger flakes and light snow. Been snowing now since 8am.

Temperature has increased to 1.7c now (wind is 4mph from direct E)

Been out with the tape measure instead of guessing, 5 inches level snow, up to 9 inch drifts, not bad.... signs of it melting on my car though.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but sleet is now showing up on the NW radar immediately to the east of Ipswich

It's 0.0c now, still snowing lightly. Really hoping it doesn't get above 1.0c because it'll become very slushy and then freeze overnight, probably even more hazardous than snow alone.

Storm tracker, Took them a couple of hrs ago Im in Godalming just outside Guildford was the most snow I have seen since I was a kid, Its 11" deep on top of the ford ka!

lol what i meant was the people on the coast of suffolk are saying its sleeting but here in co8 its snowing quite hard and its laying again turning my car white. just wondered if the radar was showing sleet.

I know, I have it..also showing sleet on Kent coast but still reports of snow, and even snow when light here...so Im guessing its wrong and we are hanging on here...still tonnes of ppn to come from france so fingers crossed :lol:

radar is not 100% accurate..still snow in ipswich!
